About the Airplane: The Mini Guppy was a cargo plane built off of a Boeing 377. First flown in 1967, it featured a top speed of 250 mph and a cargo capacity of 32,000 lbs. It was originally operated by Aero Spacelines, carrying cargo from places like NASA and Goodyear. After changing hands twice, the Mini Guppy was sold to Erickson Air Crane in 1988. In 1995, the plane was retired to the Tillamook Air Museum, where it resides today. (Sources: Wikipedia & Tillamook Air Museum)
